THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
We would like to thank Wes Gilbert for his dedicated service as BCRCD Director of the Board from District 2. Wes grew up on a family owned wheat
and row crop farm in Butte County near the Dayton/Four-Corners area. His very deep roots in the land and a lifelong commitment to
conservation issues in California helped in his decision making on the board. His knowledge in many areas was a great asset to the board. He will be missed!
If you are interested in becoming a Director representing the District 2 service area please contact Sarah Reynolds at BCRCD 530-534-0112 ext. 122 or District 2 Supervisor Larry Wahl at 530-891-0686.

PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS...
partnership benefits wildlife and local 4-H youth
An exciting partnership has been formed between the Butte County
Resource Conservation District and the Butte County 4-H Youth Development
Program. Through this partnership nesting boxes are built, sold and distributed
to farmers/ranchers and local community.
Each nesting box sold raises funds which go directly back into
the 4-H club. These funds are used to support the many activities the 4-H Youth
Development Program offers its members.
4-H youth build the Owl, Duck, Bird and Bat Boxes. Butte County
RCD takes orders and distributes the boxes to farmers and ranchers involved in
conservation projects and programs. Each of these boxes has been designed to
provide a suitable cavity for nesting as well as to provide protection from
predators. BCRCD also provides specific installation instructions.
The wildlife nesting boxes are available to any county resident
interested in providing wildlife habitat on their property.
